Just a quick question.
Which VSS reading would be more accurate.
I have the speed in MPH that displays on my S2000 cluster which seems to come straight from the VSS (It is on regardless of whether or not speed sensor is enabled in KPRO).
Then there is the speed from KPRO which is currently set for a counter shaft driven speed sensor with no speedometer correction.
I noticed that below 20MPH the cluster reads about 1MPH higher than KPRO.
The difference increases as the MPH increase. At around 60MPH the cluster reads around 6-8MPH higher than KPRO.
Which one is the most accurate and I should be following?
Cluster VSS vs KPRO VSS
Re: Cluster VSS vs KPRO VSS
You have not said what vehicle, transmission, or tire size is being used. Neither may be accurate. You should use a GPS signal to check your actual speed to compare to the other two.
Re: Cluster VSS vs KPRO VSS
My apologies:
Car is a 2004 Honda Civic.
Engine is a K24A4.
Transmission is 05-06 RSX K20Z1 4.764 Final Drive I believe (Correct me if i'm wrong)
Wheels are 17" with 235/45 tires.
When matching up with a stock 2006 si for mph check the cluster seems to be off by only 1or 2 while KPRO is off by a lot more.
When checking with GPS both seem to be off by an equal amount last time I checked.
