Hi, I have a built b18c with toda 50mm itb's and I plan on tuning it with alpha-n mode only, at first I thought because im using the tps to tune it I no longer need my map sensor so i can delete it all together but from what I've gathered here on this forum, the map is still needed to be plugged in and reading vaccum, for air pressure compensation I believe.

im from Australia and our Honda ecu don't come with the internal barametic pressure sensor and I believe only USDM ecu comes with them, ive placed an order for one of these ecu's from the states and should be here soon,

if I use this usdm ecu that has this barometric sensor which would be used for air pressure compensation, do i still need the map sensor plugged in and reading vaccum from all four runners?
the toda itb comes with only runner 1 and 4 that has a vacc nipple so before i start drilling the other 2, i wanna make sure its even needed.

The PA sensor is not needed and you do not need a different ECU. You must have the MAP sensor plugged in and reading vacuum from a vacuum distribution block connected to all runners.

is the vacuum signal accuracy important in this case even though im use the tps for the tune?

im asking because im planning on buying the endyn/urge vacuum block which mounts the map sensor and the iacv on the block itself,
ive read that if you tune using the map sensor and when the iacv on the block opens up and gives you that vac leak, it will give un accurate map reading which messes up your tune.

what if im tuning using the tps? would the un accurate map readings still affect my alpha-n tune?

i have this idea stuck in my head that i really want to use the IACV but should i give up on it and run it without?

I havent dabbled around with alpha-n too much. Map signal reference accuracy isnt crucial for mapping at all, but some kind of map signal is still required for other parameters such as closed loop, vtec, overrun fuel cut/resume, lean protection, etc.
