If I adjust the throttle cable and the throttle screw to adjust the throttle to correct RPMS will it mess my tune up or will I have to reset it? I already did the throttle cable to almost were I want it, but need the right size wrench to get it perfect. Think and hope it increased performance. Felt a little quicker and powerful. Also like the V-TEC was kicking in a little faster when it hit than before. I got a pretty good amount of work into it with skunk 2 stage cams, but somehow only pulled 161 whp. I think the aftermarket DC headers may be to small and I got to take the catylic converter off and cut open to clean my exhaust pipe as I can hear it rattling then weld it back, but I only got 161 whp and I was hoping for at least around 200 whp. Does anyone know what the stock whp is on a USDM 97 ITR or its stock hp however they messager it? Ive heard different numbers so not sure. I think its 176 for the 97 and later years the USDM went to 200 hp and I know the JDM ones are at least 200hp. I also heard all the USDM engine ITRs were about the same no matter what year. So I dont know. I have seen another ITR get 170 whp but think it was mostly stock and not as many upgrades as me. I also been told that whp is less than the way they measure hp. Most importantly Im trying to figure out if by adjusting the throttle or throttle cable mess up my tune in anyway and what I should try to do to make it faster besides turbo, nos, or supercharger. I was thinking of uping the injectors to 630 there only 310 I think now. Would that help?

You adjust Idle speed with the ecu not the cable or throttle stop. The throttle stop should be set so the plate is closed as much as possible without binding. The throttle cable needs play in it or the idle will increase or wont return to fully closed when the engine is hot. The air bleed can also be used for finite adjustment. If you change the throttle stop it also affects the TPS voltage so keep that in mind. I have seen COMPLETELY stock ITR's make between 163-173 hp depending condition, so if you are only making 161 with cams I would say something isn't right. 310cc injectors are capable of at least 240whp depending on your fuel pressure so changing them will do zero.

Good to know to change idle speed on the S300. I still haven't got to hook up a laptop since my last tune. I still think my cable is little to lose even if its suppose to have a little slack. I want as little lag when pressing the gas pedal as possible and think that might help the hp a little and like I said my exhaust needs cleaned out and catilatic conveter taken off should also increase hp. I dont really know what else could be making the whp only 161. I figured with all the other add ons I should be at least 180 to 200 whp. The person doing the dyno and tune was thinking it be arpund 160 before he started that was before I told him I had cams. I also used other spark plug cables from a loaner cause mine were bad and maybe they weren't the right size, but I doubt it. I wish dynoing was not so expensive or I knew the exact reasons. I think it only has stage 2 cam on the high cam and itr on the low only. Still only helps. Im going to ask the person that dynoed and tuned it what he thinks when I go to fix the ehaust. Thanks for the info.

What do you mean by tps voltage being adjusted when adjusting throttle cable? Is there something else I need to check to make sure its right when adjusting the throttle cable besides fixing the idle rpms?
