just completed my k20/24 build n im at a lost as to whats going on. During the 500 mile break in the vtc solenoid broke. I replaced it but there was a ratcheting sound in the morning or after long periods of sitting. I replaced the oem tensioner but that didnt solve the problem. I just replaced the VTC gear and I didnt hear the sound this mourning but the cam command and what the cams are actually doing are off. They've been off since I changed the vtc solienoid and the tensioner . What could be the problem? I checked oil pressure n it was good. Timing is on . Im not throwing any cel vtc phase gap codes. I think the oil filter that was used to break the motor in is different then the regular filter that im using idk..any help is appreciated.
At a stand still if I rev the car to 3k rpm n let off the accelerator the car dips then stalls

I have to measure the distance by the tensioner to make sure its in spec...would chain stretch happen so quickly?

What is the serial number of the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

Id have open it up and see. Is there any other place I could look? I bought it from a authorized dealer...is it possible for the car to be on time by the crank but off at the cams?

You will have to open the ECU to get the serial number that is on the K-Pro board itself. Anything is possible.
