Injector dead times

Post by mickytruelove »

I currently starting a fresh built engine and learning hondata at the same time.

Using injector dynamics 725cc injectors. I have put in the numbers from the chart supplied with the injectors at psi fuel pressure and the car seems to idle fine and run fine. When i turn on the lights and heater fan it AFR changes and goes rich.

would i require a longer dead time in the 12v cell of the table or shorter? Is there a better way to dial in injector dead times?

The values look ok. If low voltage makes the engine run rich that would suggest that the dead times are too high.

The only way to correctly set the dead times is to use a known (stock) injector and tune the idle / part throttle on those injectors first, then switch in the big injectors.
