Closed Loop Deep Probing Questions

Hi,

I have some questions regarding closed loop by TPS.

I am currently running ITB's and when I set my closed loop to Wideband - Target Lambda Input, my AFR's go lean upon sudden acceleration in 4th or 5th grears. AFR 15+ at times.

My Short Term adjustment is -30 & + 30.

When I set my Short Term Adjustment to 0 & 0, my AFR's stay pretty much where I have tuned them to be with no other changes during sudden accelaration. I.e. Wideband Target Lambda Input and the only change is the Short Term trims.

No matter how much fuel I add to my fuel map this still happens as long as my short term trims are not set to 0.

I also wish to know how Closed Loop Max TPS works with ITB's when my fuel map is also indexed by TPS.

I have read that Maximum MAP for Closed Loop should be input as the corresponding load value to the TPS position that I wish to be my maximum "MAP reading".

Also, what should I input for Target Lamda Load values? Actual MAP readings or the MAP that corresponds to my desired TPS %?

Last question for this post, If i wish to enable closed loop entirely by my "MAP reading" which is actually TPS %, what should I input into Closed Loops Max TPS Low & High? 99 for everything?

If it were me I would not try to run closed loop with ITBs as they will not pull much vacuum and there were be very abrupt changes in the amount of vacuum with very little throttle change.

This is really something that if you wish to run in closed loop, you will just have to keep adjusting settings until you either get it to work as you want, or find that it just will not work.

I understand where you are coming from completely but I believe with your expert knowledge it will work almost perfectly. There are so many features in the S300 and knowing how they interrelate is the key.

Would you be able to advise me how the below features would work in my case?

1) Target Lamda Load values when TPS indexing is used. Are they actual MAP readings or the "MAP" that corresponds to my collumn TPS %?

2) To disable Closed Loop by TPS, do I put 99 in all percentage fields ( Both Low and High ) ? I want it to activate purely by RPM and "MAP".

I run off MAP for Idle and up to 1500 RPM and TPS above 1500

All I can really suggest is that you try different things and see if you can get it to work. I have no first hand experience tuning ITB's let alone trying to run them in closed loop.
