hello my name is ryan I own and operate Colorado race fabrication, we are your average Honda performance shop. we specialize in engine builds, turbo kit fab, and efi tuning (mainly hondata products). I have put together my personal car this year with no expense spared using all of your products. I am having an issue on the dyno lately where the car seems like its breaking up above around 6500 rpm, the problem just started out of nowhere as it has already made over 800hp and made 6-7 passes for licensing. recently we put a stronger engine in and we have been having this problem on the dyno I also think I felt the same symptoms on my last pass at the track with the old engine. I am looking for help as I have tried just about everything I can think of. as for a little backround on myself and the car here at the shop we have multiple race cars ranging from 400-900+ hp all using your products we have built each car from the ground up including the harnesses and engine setups. I can give you any info you will need to help me diagnose this issue so please ask any question without fear of offending me as I just need to figure this out.

I have attached cal file and log for reference I can answer any wiring questions off the top of my head and I can supply pics if need be... also I have tried different ecu, cpr, distributor and coils if that helps I suspect its in my wiring somewhere but I cant understand why this just started out of nowhere. when you pull the log please look at my altc reading as it is extremely erratic compared to our other cars and I suspect Im getting rf interference in my harness in between the distributor and my ecu.

Are you using resistor or non-resistor type spark plugs?

Why is the TPS dropping at 15.75 seconds in the datalog?

That's my foot freaking out it was late at night, I'm trying to find another log... did you notice the altc reading?

here is another one of the last pass at the track I stretched a rod bolt but I got decent data in second gear also my wideband wasn't heated that pass but the fuel was straight the pass before and on the dyno afterwards.

What time stamp in that datalog is the problem.

in the datalog you just posted what is the time in the datalog it occurs

I don't have my computer with me but roughly 6500 rpms in second gear I saw it again at 8000 rpms I can feel it constantly though

If the altc reading is coming in and out randomly does that mean I am losing sync?

What would cause the cpr box to lose sync? I assume the distributor feeds the ecu the signal and the ecu translates it to the cpr box through the altc circuit, so if it is losing sync the problem would be in between the distributor and ecu?

You say it is doing this on the dyno, just look at the CPR box to see if the sync light is dropping out when this occurs.

that is a good idea ill have to have one of my guys watch it as I cant watch everything while I drive, im just trying to get some ideas together before I put it back on. is the altc reading on the log in direct correlation with the sync light? could rf noise cause the signal to come in and out? like I said before I know the issue is on my end I have multiple cpr boxes, ecus, and coils and such available to me Im just trying to understand a little more about how the cpr box get its signal.
