Cam Angle Tuning On A K20a3

Post by menyeart »

Ok before I start doing full on street tunes and locking my cams on specific angles I have to ask is it safe for the k20a3 to go up to 50 degree cam when locking it in place? I only ask because out of all the maps I've seen rarely any go past 30 degree. Does the a3 have a limiter so the cam can't pass a certain point?

Should I even do a 40, 50 degree tune? Is the a3 able to make any power above that maybe that's why all the tunes I've seen only go up to 30...

Any help would be great

A stock engine always has a mechanical stop, so it is ok. I don't think there will be any more power advancing past 30-35 degrees.
