B18C Type R Map - Please can someone check over?

Post by TobyEG »

Hi,

I recently bought an EG with a B18C Type R engine. IT says PR3 on the head, and the engine code is B18C. The gearbox is an S80.

It has an S300 ECU on it, and the previous owner has told me that the map has been set back to a standard base map...However I am not sure that this is the case. It seems to not be running right, and Vtec kicks in far earlier than I'd expect it to...around 4500 rpm. It does not idle correctly. I was wondering if perhaps the previous owner has put the base map for a B18C GSR engine on?

I've uploaded a copy of the map, would someone mind having a quick look?

Many Thanks

Toby

Have you tried uploading a different base map to see how that runs? You may want to also consider just taking it to a tuner to get properly tuned if you are not happy with the way it runs.

Hi Spunkster,

I have booked it in at Eurospec to be remapped on Tuesday but would just like to know if its not running as it should be.

D'you know where I can get a base map for this engine from? I've looked at the ones included in the software and wasn't completely sure which one to choose!

Would it be the Stock 2001 ITR? Or the Stock P28 JDM Integra?

Or can I download one from on here somewhere?

Thanks!

You can try several of the calibrations in the New Calibration window and see which works best for you. The ITR calibration would probably be a good start.
