Hello

I believe either my S300 or my ECU has just failed. As I was troubleshooting I had the ignition on but car not running. I pulled the ECT connector off the sensor and heard an electrical buzzing, plugged the connector back in and it went away. The next time I tried to start the car, it did but barely, had a CEL, missing on a cylinder, super rich, seemed to be running on a completely different tune. So I had my computer plugged in so I hit the online button and it does not go online. nothing in my display works. I can un plug the USB and plug it in again and it recognizes it, but does not go online.

From here I tried to pull the code with the service connector and just get a solid CEL. I read on this forum that is normal though? Can we confirm this? car not running, ignition on, service connector jumped, a steady ON CEL is normal?

I also noticed a steady red light on the S300 with ignition on, don't know if that is normal but it would be nice to find a S300 LED guide. I have not tried starting the car and looking at the LED and frankly, I don't really want to start the car.

Everything looks ok in the ECU on S300, no burning or funny smells. I looked at the troubleshooting guide and a discrepancy I found was that J12 had yet to be cut, but I have been using this set up for two years without issue. I don't know what happened when I pulled that ECT connector, but I think bad things happened.

Do I need a new ECU, S300, or both? Can I transfer the hardware to a new ECU?

First cut J12.

Second, download the most recent version of software from the downloads section of our website and upload your calibration to the ECU using that version.

see if that resolves any of the issues.

Yeah, she was working perfectly until that ECT connector got disconnected. I did just download and install the latest software.
