Hi all,
Was on here a while back asking about compatibility of my previous 2004 Civic which had DBW and VSA using similar systems to the CL9.
Have since got hold of a rare transitional model that again runs a K20A3, but has a conventional cable throttle, a PRB intake manifold, and a PNF-E02 ECU.
The gear ratios differ slightly to the US EP3, but apart from that it is pretty much identical mechanically, i think this car is likely to be KPro compatible, i was hoping someone could confirm this to the best of their knowledge.
Many thanks.
Compatibility- again (different car)

Post a picture of the inside of the ECU.

That makes sense.
Never having removed an ECU let alone opened one it could prove a challenge! will see what i can do.
Thanks for the reply.

Okay! Here goes nothing, i guess its going to be bad news...

Think this is the important bit:

P.S. I think i posted in the wrong section, sorry about that!

Re: Compatibility- again (different car)
It looks compatible, but without knowing more about the vehicle and the code inside the ECU, there may be some things that will not function correctly and there may be errors that cannot be disabled.

Re: Compatibility- again (different car)
Thank you for taking the time to check it out, that is certainly good news to a degree.
I understand the possibility of issues arising due to differences between the US and the UK car, not sure, but if there is anything else i could supply in terms of information to clarify then i will try to get hold of it.
Have to admit i cheated and picked up a spare ECU off ebay, so i guess i could get K-Pro fitted to that and if all works fine just get the immobiliser codes sorted.
If there are issues, then at least i have a spare...
I guess it is a case of trial and error from here, but if there is any more info i can give you via email to clarify compatibility with K-Pro please let me know.
Thanks again.

Your best bet would be to contact CPL Racing in the UK.

Good plan, i think getting someone to look at it first hand is definitely the next step.
Many thanks for your time, all the best.

Re: Compatibility- again (different car)
Back again, apologies for troubling everyone.
Checked out the part number for my primary o2 sensor, it comes up as 36531-PND-A11, this appears to be the same as the EP3 Si from the US, and is thus (unless i am mistaken) a wideband sensor.
If that is the case, odd how the UK EP3 Type R did not get wideband, and my car did.
I was going to use an EP3R ECU to K-Pro for the ease of upgrading to a 6 speed transmission, but if the car uses a wideband sensor then that might not be such a good idea.
Guessing the options are to use the spare PNF unit that i have, or get an 02-04 RSX unit for the ease of a 6 speed swap.
I know this is all conjecture, but if an RSX unit can function in a UK EP3 it should work in my car too, will talk to my tuner, but any advice would be a big help.
Many thanks.
