Electrical Load AFR Issue

Post by DV8 »

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone can help as i'm stumped (again).

Getting quite a large AFR change as i turn on the lights, interior blower, stereo & rear screen demister. As i add load to the system the mixture leans out going from 12:1 right down to 15:1 roughly.

I've added the dead times supplied by grams for the 550cc injectors (see below) which didnt help. Ive also added some more grounds in the engine bay.

I did notice that when the indicators/turn signals are on the walbro fuel pump seems to pulse in tune (also the fuel pressure changes in time).

I've included the map and datalog - recorded on idle starting on nothing turned on and then adding load (starting with rear demister). AFR is also recorded from the AEM UEGO.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I just wanted to add i wired up the Pump direct to the battery - this helped with the indicator ticking but i'm still getting a pretty big AFR drop under load (mainly lights and rear de-mist).

ELD is disabled, should it be enabled or does it sound like another issue?

Try adjusting your dead times so until you get no change in fuel when the lights are on.

Thanks Spunkster - I'll try it. :)

Should the ELD be on or off? Which would give the most consistent voltage?

ELD should not matter.
