when you disconnect the battery and reconnect it does it still have the map that was uploaded prior to being disconnected or does the kprod ecu revert to something else?

Disconnecting the battery does not change the program/map/calibration in the ECU.

Some knock at 7500 rpm, but the AF needs tuning. -20% trim in places, WOT AF is full rich.

so me and a street tuner learned yesterday that what was making things so chaotic in the a/f ratio was my new 88a hasport motor mounts. my brand new knock sensor was picking up all the new vibrations as knocks. so when we disabled the knock sensor right away it was a night and day difference the car ran so much smoother and the af ratio was once again smooth instead of peaky. so i guess ill go back to the toda headers map in a few days and see how it feels.

but for now the knock sensor is disable and im running in an a/f ratio that he said was too safe for knock so we are all good...?

i still plan on gettin professionally tuned

The engine vibration does not affect the AF - it needs tuning. I would not disable the knock sensor without first identifying areas of knock, retarding the ignition in those areas, and seeing if it makes a difference.

well according to the guy at precision autoworks the sensitive knock sensor records false knock and tells the engine to add more fuel and retards timing. with the knock sensor disabled the air fuel ratio was much smoother. i mean i saw the datalogs with my own eyes but as to the explanation i am not really sure sounds like it makes sense
