2000 Honda s2000
Hondata Kpro bought new in 2011 through Ramey Built of Virginia and installed there
ran into a problem about a 8 months ago, had my new tuner check it out without any luck. now after trying everything including injector clips, injectors, wire harness and 8 months of fighting with it I give up.

Problems:
1. will not rev past 7,500-8,000.. almost seems like its hitting launch control but even with launch control disabled it still limits at 7,500.. happens in every gear and if you are coasting and rev it in neutral.. also if you try to rev it at 1/4 or 1/2 throttle you can tell its starts to build a load up like as if you were sitting still hitting launch control.

2. sometimes on deceleration the injectors will stay open and pulse.

Ecu is up to date. there are no CEL and everything seems to work perfect according to datalogging ect. also have went over everything including taking apart the wire harness and checking for broken wires ect... have had no luck. is it possible that something in the actual ecu is bad or could it be something with the ecu not picking up the speed or maybe the TPS? i have seen others with similar problems with injectors pulsing on decel but no body with an answer and replacing the TPS didn't help. any input at all would be greatly appreciated. Calibration? Datalog?

Still no luck. Would it be possible to just send my ecu in to you to have it checked. Also I do have a calibration and data log. But have had it looked over with nothing that stands out. I would just feel better if I could send the whole ecu to you to be checked. For how much I have in my Kpro set up bought brand new from you I would hope this wouldn't be a problem. Bought and installed through Ramey Built of Virginia beach, Va in 2011. And if I remember correctly they had problems with the first ecu they received from you so that's why I feel like its just a junk ecu. So if I could be given an address and an Ok on it I could get it shipped out. Thanks

About 90% of the ECUs sent to us are working correctly, so it usually pays to do some troubleshooting first.

Can you provide the calibration and make a datalog showing the problem?

I bought the ecu brand new from you along with the Kpro.

Haha I thought you were reffering to the ecus you get and install Kpro in. But yeah I can just don't have my lap top and access to wi fi at the moment. But like I said I had a tuner go over everything at there shop already and had several people look over the data log and calibration. But I'd be happy to email you the links when I get a chance. What's your email.

Why are you using a PRB based calibration? The S2000 is setup to run only a PRA based calibration that is listed in the basemaps.

You should be using the PRA calibration. Also something is not right with the MAP sensor, or the AF is way of - it's showing around atmospheric pressure at cruise. Check the MAP shows 100 kPa with key on engine off.

I don't know why it is prb. That is how my tuner had it set up. ? How do I change it? I am somewhat familiar with how to work it. It is possible for me to change it from a prb to pra without losing my tune right? Learning as I go here so bear with me. Thanks

I will check this out as soon as I get home.

It's not that easy to convert from PRB to PRA - I'm not sure why the tuner set it up this way, so it is best to start out with the correct calibration type.

I also would not drive the car in boost until you've verified the AF.
