download crash

Just wanted to make a post about a problem I had with my chipped p28 and what I went through to fix it. Just to add this problem was not limited to occurring on my laptop.
Symptoms: ecu would connect, datalog, and begin the upload as well as the erase process without crashing. However, when attempting to download the map from the ecu the program would get an "abnormal program termination error" or a windows error stating something about insufficient memory and crash.
After calling hondata I was told to shut down all anti-virus software, uninstall smanager, and do a complete restart. After restarting, again shut down all anti-virus software and download the complete up to date smanager(including the new beta version 2.2.7.0) Once download complete restart the computer and attempt to download from ecu again. Same error. After which I cleared my dtc and erased my ecu. The first time the erase went through smanager prompted me telling me the ecu did not erase. So I made a second attempt to erase and this time the erase went through. After this i uploaded a saved copy of my map. The upload held. And I was able to download it like usual.
