I am reading through the K-Pro help on the multiplexer as I am installing a RacePak IQ3 dash into my DC5R (2002). Both the Hondata websites and the Racepak instructions, say to connect to pin E24.
According to the Hondata K-Pro information "This use of this pin for a serial output stream will result in the stock water temperature gauge and charge indicator being disabled."
Having the stock water gauge and charge indicator disabled is fine by me, but what else I am finding through other comments on the Hondata Forums, is that it also disables the A/C Control?
Can someone from Hondata verify if this is actually the case or not? We still need to run A/C in our car so need to know if connecting the IQ3 to E24 will disable the AC or not.
Cheers

MultiPlexer question
Re: MultiPlexer question
AC control is controlled via the multiplex, so it will also not work. You would have to use the alternate AC output in the Misc section of Parameters.
Re: MultiPlexer question
Thanks for replying and that sounds like it would do the job, my next question hopefully doesn't sound too stupid though.Spunkster wrote:AC control is controlled via the multiplex, so it will also not work. You would have to use the alternate AC output in the Misc section of Parameters.
So from what I can understand this is what I need to do in the K-Pro/K-Manager
Parameters > VTEC > Uncheck "VTEC oil pressure switch enabled" (which it already is)
Parameters > Misc > Check "Use VTP switch as AC Switch Input"
Parameters > Multiplexer > Set to "datalogger 9600 or 155200"
Upload to K-Pro
I assume that there must be some physical wiring changes that also be made? Is it just a matter of finding the VTP switch in the engine bay, disconnecting it and wiring it to the AC Switch?
Cheers

Re: MultiPlexer question
Yes, you will have to rewire it to the VTP input.
