My kpro ecu has burnt components due to a minor electrical fire on the harness. The kpro board seems fine, how do i get the ecu repaired, can i transfer the kpro chip to another ecu myself ? Do i send it back to hondata to repair ? if so what are the costs attached Please give me some guidance,

I would recommend trying your K-Pro board on someone elses K-Pro'd ECU to see if it is still functional. After this, contact support <at> hondata.com about this issue.

OK, Do you have any idea what can be causing the problem, Put in a JDM Type R ECU after rebuilding wires car idling for 10 minutes decided to take the car for a drive then the ecu fuse in the engine bay blew again. This is A k Swap in an ES civic had the swap for 6 months and the car for 5 years no problems

You obviously still have a wiring issue that needs to be resolved. YOu will need to go through the harness and find the fault.

sorted out the wiring issue and transferred my kpro to another ecu, i'm now having problems uploading a .kal. i am connecting ignition on etc but the .kal won't upload tried various base maps but continues to fail, i can download from the kpro. pumps prime car cranks but does not start . car starts with a borrowed jdm type r ecu the ecu kpro is in now is a jdm type r immobilizer ecu

help please

I would take it back to them to determine why it is not working.

After a lot of back and forth still no progress, i don't want to send it to the hondata dealer in my country because of the length of time it takes to get something done, another guy had a similar problem and sent his ecu there last year and still hasn't got it returned. i have a friend coming to the U.S. next week can i send it to a U.S. hondata dealer ? "remember the kpro is on another ecu" will this cause any problems ?

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

Since someone else has tried to socket this ECU, your best bet would be to take it back to whoever did the work. The only other option would be to send it here and we would charge the socketing charge of $100, plus $75 shipping. There is also the possibility that either the K-Pro or the ECU are damaged. You can see why it is best for whoever did the work to take a look at this first, as it may save you a lot of money.

i prefer hondata to deal with it but not my dealer locally how can i proceed to send it to you in the us

Ok got it sorted out, happens to be the laptop i was using. mac osx with an emulator (vmware Fusion). Erased the ecu with kmanager on a windows based OS and got the green light. Thanks for all the assistance
