I recently replaced some things on my car and when doing so I also swapped my vacuum lines to push-lock fittings. The car runs and drives fine but BBG is not working. I do fixed gear at different percentages 15%-85% (at increment differences of 10) but my boost is not lowering or raising, it is staying right at 16or17. It is not boost cutting and it is not running off the wastegate springs because they are for 9psi.

datalogs show the different pwm%'s but no psi change

Things that were changed that could have altered this

-converted from normal vacuum lines to push-lock
-extended the wiring for the boost solenoid
-rewired the head light harness (dont think that changed anything but who knows)

YOu need to post your calibration as well as everythign that has been done to the engine.

okay here is my calibration. and what would you like to know as far as what has been done? the motor is fully built (hate that term but too lazy to type out all the parts). the only changes done to the motor between when it worked and now is the headgasket was done.

when the key is turned on the solenoid makes one *click* noise but that is it, when the pwm%s are changed it does not make any noise. I also switched the lines going to the solenoid (flipped them) and the boost was still the same.

Was that datalog made using that calibration? Were changes being made to the calibraiton during that datalog?

yes, as shown in the datalog i first did a pull at 15%, changed it to 25% did a pull, changed it to 35% did a pull, and so on, increasing the % by 10 each time

What happens when you go to the Online menu and clic on Test Inputs and try testing the PWM boost control output?

Make sure you are using the most recent version of software to do this.

I am using the most recent software. And what should happen? I click the boxes but I don't see anything on screen

You should be able to hear the solenoid

Nevermind haha just listened closely and it is buzzing

Then it is working as it should. Check your plumbing for the solenoid.

I took it out for a ride last night and put it at 60hz (because I have seen people having some success with this and thinking it may be my issue) and 10%pwm, the car still found its way up to 16psi. I then set it to 78hz and tested at 30%pwm and the same boost.


my plumbing is done as this image shows.

so now for the boost control system I have, replaced the solenoid (did this before last nights testing), replaced the wiring, and checked the plumbing whille following that diagram. I also tested the wiring/solenoid by using the "test inputs" menu through hondata and it showed the solenoid worked at different pwm%s.


the only other thing I can think to do is switch my one line going into port 2 to port 3, and changing the solenoid from normally open to normally closed in hondata.

So I took the car to the tuner and turns out the issue was the vacuum pluming all along. All the lines were routed correctly but the push-lock fittings I was sold turned out to be faulty and not seating properly. I reverted all my lines back to normal vacuum lines and the car is all good to go. Thanks for the help
