USB connectivity issues.

Post by craze8 »

One day all was well when connecting the next not so well. USB connection on the daughterboard in the ecu has play where it plugs in and if it wiggles it looses connection. on windows 7 software it comes up as an error or unknown device is connected. can get it to connect on windows XP/2000 but have to wiggle the connection at the ecu. I've double checked all the grounds and ecu solidering. The dealer I ordered through will only send off and said it was best to contact you all about this before trying to get them to send it off. Is the port itself something I can get and replace or do I need to send to you all?

What is the serial number or the s300 inside the ECU? Can you post a high quality and in focus picture of the USB port as well?

Attaching a picture of the USB port. Let me know if you need a better quality photo then this one. I can get even higher resolution one later tonight.
