Hi,
I have read manual about wiring aftermarket wideband to KPRO, just want to double check. I've been using Innovative Motorsport LC-1 till now, but it gave up after some years and to be honest, wasn't very reliable so I took Hondata's recommandation and got PLX SM-AFR with DM6 gauge combo to replace it.
Planning to wire PLX SM-AFR as follows (PLX to KPRO III):
+12V to switched power (any available source will do?)
GND to one of two Ground wires on KPRO III (as per http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/in ... wiring.htm)
Analog output to Analog0 red wire on KPRO III wire
OPTIONAL: Digital out to Digital0 inside ECU on KPRO III three pin digital header (only if Lambda overlay will be possible from Digital0 input)
Thanks for quick check.

Re: PLX SM-AFR WB wiring
The 12v switched power source should be one of the extra connectors in the fuse box that are powered when the ignition is turned on.
Re: PLX SM-AFR WB wiring
I have one 12V wire taken from cigarete lighter which is powered once ingnition is turned on. But if it is better then i can route cable to the fuse box which is under steering wheel. Or did you meant fuse box in engine bay? (I have Civic EP3).Spunkster wrote:The 12v switched power source should be one of the extra connectors in the fuse box that are powered when the ignition is turned on.
Thanks for info Spunkster.

Re: PLX SM-AFR WB wiring
The under dash fuse box is what I mean. The cigarette lighter is one of the worst locations to use for power.

Ok, I will get +12V from the fuse box, thanks for the info.Spunkster wrote:The under dash fuse box is what I mean. The cigarette lighter is one of the worst locations to use for power.

Re: PLX SM-AFR WB wiring
OK wideband is wired up and working flawlessly.
For those amateurs like me who are trying to hook it up i recommend to use "add-a-circuit" adaptor to get power from underdash fusebox (spent two hours in "unpossible" positions under the dash, trying to figure out how to get cleanly +12V out of there). After some googling I've found clean solution - "Add-a-circuit" ~$2 solution to this pain.
Here is how it looks like (source: miata.net website):

This gives you idea how it looks like once installed (source: http://www.8thcivic.com website / 8th gen fuse box, not actual EP3 underdash fuse box):

Hope it helps someone and saves time once installing PLX's great device.
