I have a P06 non vtec ecu with hondata s300 installed in it. I also have a rywire b series vtec harness. The harness did not come with a vtec oil pressure plug but a plug for the vtec solenoid. What can I do to properly make vtec operate on this kind of setup?

non vtec ecu- use alternative output to relay the vtec soilenoid. iv used a/c clutch output and works flawless. under vtec tab check disable spool error and uncheck oil pressure switch. near bottom is list outputs for relay.

do i need the vtec oil pressure switch for anything? or just wire up the relay to the vtec solenoid? The solenoid has wires in the rywire harness running to the ecu

You can disable the vtec oil pressure in the calibration.

Spunkster, what would be the best wire to tap into for the relay for signal for vtec? My rywire harness has 2 extra power and ground wires , does this count?

You must choose one of the outputs listed in the software. Additional power and grounds will have nothing to do with this.

last question, why is each one of those outputs special? they signal to vtec solenoid at a certain rpm or load?

The output you select will be triggered by the conditions you set in the calibration.
