hi I am new to the s300 but have wanted one for so long after having standard ecu then a spoon (which killed my engine :( bummer) I now have a few options, I bought a b18c4 ukdm from a aerodeck vti for the pursuit of boosted ek9. I know the b18c4 is lower compression so a better option for standard engine with boost however I now have the option of either running ek9 b16b head on b18c4 bottom end n/a and run the s300, or b18c4 with turbo, or b18c4 bottom end with ek9 head and turbo. obviously id like as much reliable power as possible so I rekon the ek9 head with b18c4 bottom end and turbo would be a more powerful option but not sure on how I would adjust all the options for running maybe 8psi to allow a safe but still fast turbo tune,i don't need silly power id be fine with any thing above 250bhp.
any help would be greatly appreciated but also if people think I have bitten off more than I can chew please help me with options for b16b ek9 head on b18c4 bottom end n/a tune.
oh and the full spec of each would be as follows
ek9 head with b18c4 turbo
T3 Turbo (0.50 AR)
XS Power Manifold (Spacer and Gaskets)
2.5" exhaust Heat Wrapped
Custom Screamer Pipe
Tial External Wastegate
Emusa Intercooler
Intercooler PipeWork
Type RS Blow Off Valve On PipeWork
Oil Return Kit
RaceTech Oil Feed Kit (Stronger and Braided Line)
All Gaskets (Manifold, Turbo, Wastegate, Oil Feed)
440cc Injectors
Inline Fuel Pump With Braided Fittings
De-Cat Pipe
Boost Solenoid Sensor
Denso Spark Plugs
AEM fuel rail
fuel pressure regulator
ek9 cams
skunk2 black series inlet manifold
s300 ecu
b18c4 turbo
same as above but with standard b18c4 inlet and engine spec
ek9 head with b18c4
ek9 cams
skunk2 black series inlet
mugen 4-1 manifold
pw jdm whales cock induction
b18c4 bottom end
s300 ecu
these would be the set ups I would go for any advise would be great or if any maps are useful again please let me know
thanks
kevin
newbie with few options for tuning
Re: newbie with few options for tuning
keep the full b18 and boost. Swap just the intake cam otherwise just leave it stock.
Get a wideband, hook it up and post a log. And youll prolly need bigger than 440cc injectors!
