Hi all I'm having abit of trouble with my s300 unit iv just installed. On the chip before I got the s300 installed the car ran fine with no error code although I did notice that q31 was burned out but the car ran fine so i left it no problems.so now its been socketed iv registerd it and uploaded a basemap but all I'm getting is a constant cel light and no codes,I can't try starting it yet cuz it hasn't got a starter on I'm going to try putting it on a friends later but I still think this isn't right
PLEASE HELP

oh and if I plug the ecu in without the s300 board on it does exactly the same thing and the lights are all green

Have you datalogged to try and read the error code?

You must click the lightning bolt icon or hit F10 to begin datalogging. When you have the check engine light, leave the car running and datalog to view the error codes.

you shall check which CEL you get, which error code is shown in YOUR car.

with this information the problem can be found maybe.

nevertheless you should start with a good ECU. just saying "well, it worked fine... so it's ok" is not the right thing to do.

get rid off the broken capacitor and check everything.
