i was unable to lock a new flashpro to an 08 tl-s auto today. i was given this information:



is there a known problem with this ecu? the flashpro serial number is 40019. i tried two different computers and came up with the same error each time. i also tried most of the other tl calibrations with the same result. also, the registered owners information fields kept getting replaced with a very long string of random characters. what is the recommended next step?

If you want to, you can send us the FlashPro and we can update the firmware and you can then use it with the current software. We are in the midst of changing compilers for our software and this is what is causing the delay in a new version of software. If you wish to send this in instead of waiting on the new version of software please let me know via email (support <at> hondata.com) so I can issue an RMA and further instructions.

I just got my FlashPro for my 08 TL-S, so should I wait for this update before I first use it? what is the eta for that update?

U dont need to wait, as far as you can see , Hondata released few mo versions of SW and internal Flashpro FW been updated twice since that guy had a problem. Just download latest FP manager, connect your flashpro to update it to the latest FW and check then if it will work for your car. I think everything will b ok.

Ok should I use the prod version V1.4.5 or the latest beta version V1.4.7?

use the latest beta version. i have it loaded on my computer and i have an appt with the customer this coming week to try uploading a map and taking it for a test drive. i will report back with my findings, but if anyone gets any new info before that it would be greatly appreciated.

ok, tried 1.4.7 this evening. same problem, ignition is almost fixed at -10. didnt drive the car as it exhibited the same problems as the 80hp dyno pulls. i am unable to load an 07 tls map, and i tried both the tuned auto map and the rdx injector map with the fuel trim adjusted back for stock injectors. i did not see the need to try the 6 speed map as that probably would have other issues as well. i have attached a datalog and would really appreciate any insight into what the problem is- one note, the ignition limit value in the sensors window still shows a value around -2900ish depending on load and rpm. i just downloaded 1.5 but the notes made no mention of additional tl support- if that is going to be the solution i will try again with 1.5 to see if the ignition issue is resolved.
