Stage 2B shift light comes on at 3000rpm?

This is the second time this happens to me and I don't know why? Im hoping someone else has run into this problem that may be able to shed some light. What's happening is that my CEL will light up as soon as I hit 3k rpm. It goes away anything lower than 3k?? It's basically acting as my shift light but for 3k rpm not the set 8400rpm when it was tuned.
The first time I sent it out for this problem they,(Hondata), said it was because of a software issue. Fine I took it back and since then had the car re-tuned with no issues until today on my drive to work.
I am going to have to send it back again to see if they can fix it. It sucks because it takes a good 3- days before I get it back. I don't think this will be an issue but a pain in the ass if you ask me.
Anyone else have this issue?

At least your's worked at all, mine wont even come on. Good luck with yours. How did the tuner set the light for you? With the button or whith his software?

He set it with the software. i chose not to have the button put in so he didn't use it.
Does it make a difference?

You sure it was set for 8400? My guess it is at 3.
If it comes on, have the tuner use Hondalogger and drive the car once it reaches the 3k limit and the light comes on, check to see if it is a code it is throwing. The tuner can check this in the software and clear it if needed.
Sounds to me as the shift light wasn't set right.

The shift light was set right the first time because it wokred originally. All of a sudden it reads 3k out of no where.

Is this with an S200 system?

Nope this is a stage 2b w/boost.
I think what im going to have to do is send it back to Hondata again so they can fix it. When I sent it the first time I was told by my mechanic that it was a problem with the blue box itself and they fixed it. I just wonder if I can avoid sending it so I don't have to wait 3-4 days with no car. My mechanic is nice enough to lend me his stage 4 but he needs it for tuning on the dyno.

The stage 2 and 4 use the same box.
My only other guess is that when you have a rev limit like this the blue box gets disconnected from the ECU. Maybe a bad cable? Bad ECU sonnection? Just a thought.

I think it might have something to do with the connection to the ecu? It could be a wiring short somewhere?
It's just odd that it out of no where while I was driving threw a code and stayed on. I mean everytime I shift
it comes on and stays on anything past 3k. It sucks cause my tranny is an S1 and short as heck.
