Ignition Timing Tuning.HELP!

Fuel tuning seems quite easy with a wideband. However how could you tune ignition timing at part throttle? How can you determine if you need more or less timing (apart from audible detonation that leads to timing retard). If no detonation is heard, how can you say if you need more or less ignition advance?

Tuning with a good knock sensor is the best way to do timing.
