Posted this on the UK Civic Type-R Forum but thought it may get a quicker response here.
I noticed a problem today - was testing out downloading and uploading with KManager on a Euro K-Pro installation on my Euro CTR. When I downloaded my KPro calibration (professionally tuned by Guy @ CPL and Doug), I got a corrupt file (confirmed corrupt by Guy @ CPL and Ian - another KPro customer).
You can see for yourself:

I didn't realise it was corrupt until just after I uploaded it back - luckily Guy pointed out the problem before I started my engine!! Now I had no good copy of my tuned calibration, and a possible corrupt calibration in the ECU!! Luckily Guy was able to send me a backup copy of the calibration file he had tuned and I successfully uploaded that (car works fine!).
So in essence problem is as follows:
Good ECU Calib -> download -> Corrupted Calib File = Problem!
Corrupted Calib File -> upload -> Bad ECU Calib = God only knows!
Good Calib File -> upload -> Good ECU Calib = OK
So upoloading works fine (as does DataLogging).
Ian (ikilby) also pointed out that occasionally during downloads he gets a corrupt file - but he can fix things by restarting KManager/his laptop. I have not yet been able to get a good download despite trying with two different laptops.
This isn't really a big problem as I have a good copy of my calib file (from Guy) so that can be tweaked, saved and uploaded - in essence I will never have to do a download unless I lose the calibration file. However the download function should work as described - so I have informed Guy at CPL (my local Hondata dealer), awaiting his response.
PS: I hope this can be fixed via a software/firmware update - will find it very inconvenient to send my ECU off somewhere
for any length of time and not have access to my car.
