hello all,
iam having an issue with my car and the rpm signal.. its a b16a2 obd2b with a p72 ao1 via a conversion harness, CAI, full Exhuast, pretty stock for now....when i first got the s300 unit (v2) i had no rpm signal to the tach..so i ran a wire off the dizzy (blue wire) to the test rpm wire above the drivers shock tower...i now have rpm to my cluster. heres the problem...smanager constantly shows 0 rpm... i cannot fix this problem...car runs good and doesnt seem to have any other problem, doesnt throw codes etc...i installed the s300 unit on a friends car and smanager showed rpm signal so its not hondata or the conversion harness... what makes this interesting is my launch control works ...just doesnt show anything other than 0 rpm in the display...really could use some help...thank you all for your time...

The RPM is calculated by the ECU form the sensors located in the distributor. Are there any error codes?

Did it ever read the RPM in the software on this vehicle?

Can you post your calibration and a datalog showing this?

no it has never worked on this car....has always read 0..as for the calibrations ive only tried the hondata US p30 and p72 cals that came with the software..only recently bought this and also only tired the launch control for the sake of problem solving this situation... correct me if im wrong but might not be a good idea driving around with the ecu not knowing engine speeds??
i could see the data logging if it works.....havnt looked.

edit: heres the cal... datalogging coming soon

because i had to reroute the rpm signal from the dizzy to the cluster, do i have to tap into that wire and split it to the ecu?? if so what pin pleasee ?

RPM is calculated from the signals of the 3 distributor sensors (TDC, CKP and CYP). You need to check for error codes.
