Possible Bad ECU?

Post by SPOOLIN »

I picked up a p28 with s300v2 in it not to long ago. While trouble shooting a friends car using my (now his) s300v1 p28, i discovered it (s300v2 box) will not start his car, but the old will, same calibration uploaded. it just turns over like a calm cow and never even hits once. smanager communicates no problem and uploads, modifies, etc. I did notice once that it was getting a solid CEL no codes in smanager but towards the end of trouble shooting it was not doing that but still no start. when you hit the lightning bolt, the data doesn't move, not even TPS. Will I most likely be fine after transferring s300 to a P72 i pulled out of my friends car?

Probably, but the only way to find out is to try the s300 in a working ECU.
