s300 on P28 working fine for years - upon upload not anymore

Post by miro_gt »

Hi all,

I've used my s300 for maybe 5 years give or take, I dont even remember, to drive my small turbo setup on stock block. Today it got cold outside and I decided to change my fuel compensation as the car, 95 Civic EX, was running a bit rich. I do drive it every day to work and back, so I know it has no issues.

I downloaded the last version (not beta) of the SManager - V2.1.1.0 and hooked it up. All fine, sensors working, everything seemed OK. So I made the changes on my map that I've used all that time (and made changes on many times), and hit upload -> it started the upload, the bars went half way and then it stopped. I dont remember if it showed anything on the screen, but since then SManager can not upload anymore, and the car is not running normal ever since. Check engine light stays on.

I've tried even to reinstall different versions of SManager that I used before but with the same result - none can upload anymore, the sensors are not readable as well. SManager says it's connected when I turn the ignition key to "on" position. SManager itself has been working fine, never crashed or anything in that matter.

Please let me know what to do now. Is there any way to reset the s300 so that it will take the map again ?

Thank you in advance

I could upload my map if needed.

so here's what I did to fix it for now, or at least that's what I think:

- unplug the ECU fuse (15A) from under the hood, leave like that for some time (overnight for me) so that related capacitance charges drain out within the ECU and/or the s300 board, plug fuse back in. Upon connection to s300 the upload went through :)

the car is back up and running, no CEL anymore. I will test drive today and update if I see any problems, which would mean that the upload didn't load up the map correctly - I noticed that the upload window stopped at about 75%, blinked, and then finished up.
