S300 driver install problem

Hello

I have a driver problem with an S300 serial number: S300-1831

I have installed Hondata Smanager 2.1.1.0 on my Toshiba laptop running windows xp.

I have the message Driver not installed offline in the bottom left corner of the screen.

I have tried the driver installation process a few times but s300 does not show up in device manager.
If i leave the ecu plugged in ignition on and unplug and plug back in the usb cable to the laptop usb port device manager just thinks i am unplugging or plugging in a analogue to serial converter.

I have removed and re installed the software 4 times i have allso used another Dell laptop also running windows xp but i have exactly the same problem.

i have also tried 2 different usb cables

I think the computers are just not seeing the s300, they see something but not the s300

the car starts and runs ok the s300 was installed some years ago by another tuner so i believe it to be working or has worked at some point.

When I turn the ignition on i get a slight red led flicker then both led's are solid green.

Is it possible that Smanager 2.1.1.0 be too new for this s300? if so could you point me in the write direction for an earlier software version.

Or am i just doing something wrong installing the drivers

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers
Greg

Download the s300 USB installation program and follow the on-screen instructions for manual USB driver installation for your version of windows.

Thanks for the quick reply

I have tried that and get the message

Cannot continue the hardware update wizard
the wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed
