I've utilized the search and only came up with about 7 topics, none of which seem to have the answers I'm searching for.

The answer I would suspect will take someone a few minutes to type (Im guessing, since after all I am completely lost) so let me say that I greatly appreciate the time you spend on your response.

I have a 99 Civic Si which I plan to use the s200 w/boost. The ECU that is/was in it is a P2T-A11. I've already purchased a P28 and chipped it, however, I can easily enough find another ECU if it is recommended (and please do recommend it if there is a better ECU to use as the Hondata ECU in my particular case and for curiousity sakes, let me know why its better than the P28).

Questions:

1. What ECU would you recommend for me to use? (and why if you don't mind, note, I am NOT questioning your suggestion, I am just curious and want to expand my knowledge)

2. With the ECU you recommended, what things will I need to change out (if anything) such as distributor, etc. (I believe I read someone actually had to change out their distributor??)

If there is anything else you feel I should know, I am most definitely all ears and appreciate your response.

a p28 is the most common chioce as it is versitile. if you wanted to utilize your knock sensor, then a p30 would be the next chioce. converting to obd-1 from your obd-2b and using the p28, you will no longer have use for your secondary O2 sensor, knock sensor, and i believe the sensor that is on the crank (haven't seen one on obd-1 cars), maybe a few misc. if you are running boost, you can use a p30 to see your knock lvl, but in some cases, ppl have problems with the car running poorly due to the knock sensor picking up niose and retarding the timing, making it a little more difficult to tune. but some ppl don't have trouble. the chioce is yours. the p28 will suit you quite well and has been used to lay down plenty of power.
