External switch wiring

Post by ncjmj »

I want to use the full-throttle shift feature, and I know you have to use an external switch to activate it. I've read about people using the cruise control clutch sensor as their switch, but I don't know how I'm supposed to wire it up.
The same goes for using the burnout rev limiter and using a manual datalogging switch, but those two don't really require a switch, because I can just use my laptop to turn them on and off.
Any and all help is appreciated.

You must use a switch that will allow it to activate when the clutch is fully depressed. This must then be wired into the input you select in the software. The witch is just used to complete the circuit to power or ground depending on what input is used.

Do I have to wire it directly to the ECU, or elsewhere in the wiring system?

Directly to the ECU input.
