s300 Problems? Pls Help

Post by Ceearexx »

I have Hondata s300 on my car running a b20 vtec. I just recently installed s300 on my car and i was getting code 11 for overheating . I changed everything out thermostat, water pump, timing belt, new radiator 50/50 coolant and water wetter, new ect sensor new temp sensor for gauge i flushed the coolant and bleed it many times and my car still runs hot!

I hooked up my friends neptune ecu with a stock b20v base map and it ran fine no lagging to pick up and no overheating the temp got to around 200 and then it came down to 196F. On my s300 right when it hits 180F the car runs like crap dosnt pull like it should ! when i datalog it shows my temperature go from 180 then slowly it keeps going up and passes 208F and will keep going if i let it.

Can anyone point me to what can be wrong? I dont think its a bad headgaket cause my oil is clean and no smoke at all!

well, the first calibration b20v stock.skl has no fuel or ignition maps at all from what i can see, so that's why it didn't run. but the other one is basically the same one i downloaded. i have had some problems with having air in my coolant which makes the temp fluctuate a lot. now it just runs cold most of the time unless i'm sitting in traffic idling a lot. but if it doesn't have any problems on another ECU, i'm not sure what it would be.

Yeah its weird i dont know if maybe something is wrong with the s300 or my car.

Because i first drove my car with my s300 for about 10 minutes or less and it was already driving like crap and temps were rising.
Came back tried my friends out and drove it for about 15 minutes ran perfectly fine and it stayed at about 196F .

Im going to try another calibration and see whats going on.

I have replaced everything that can make the car overheat!
