Hi guys,

Ive recently rebuilt my motor. I found out that the car is running weird under a constant throttle.

Lets say Im cruising at 3500rpm in 5th gear in a constant throttle. i would feel that the power of the car is kinda on and off. Kinda feels like im on and off the throttle, but my leg is constantly on the throttle.

I have a wideband gauge and the AFR jumps around from 13-16 when that happens.

I tried to run in open loop and now it seems to run fine.

What could the problem be?

JDM B18c
cp 11:1 pistons
manley rods
supertech valvetrain
LHT cooled JRSC
725cc ID injectors
walboro 255 pump
stock FPR

Also,

What is the disable O2 heater function? Does it just disable the narrow band O2?

I have an AEM UEGO wideband, is it possible to wire that up and replace the OEM narrowband?

You need to post a datalog as well showing the problem.

What would the datalog show?
I don't have the wideband hooked up to the ecu now, it's just hooked up to the gauge.

I also noticed a big discrepancy between the readings of the wideband and the OEM narrowband O2
The OEM O2 constantly reads around 10-12. Even when the wideband is reading 14-16.

Would it be a problem with the O2? Since the car runs so normal when I put it into open loop.

You cannot get an accurate AF reading from a stock narrowband sensor.

I understand that the narrowband is no where as accurate as the wideband, but then a stock car runs fine on it. What could be the problem causing my car to run weird under closed loop? It ran fine once I put it in open loop.

what version of s300 is this link for... mine does not show the option for narrowband or to use wideband signal in closed loop parameters
