ECU problem

Post by beat »

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my ecu. Im planning to swap my S300 to another ecu soon to see if it will fix it. Would like to know if anyone else has had similar problems.

Normally, when you turn the ignition on, the engine like will come on for a few seconds and then go off. On my car, it takes a long time to go off. Before it goes off, you cant start the car at all, cuz the fuel pump doesnt run. Usually, I want a few minutes, then I hear the fuel pump start to run and the engine light will go off, then I'll be able to start the car. Funny thing is, the longer I dont drive the car, the longer I wait. For example, if I dont drive it for a week, I might need to wait for 10-15 minutes. And if Ive just driven the car, park it for 10-15 minutes, start it again, it works like normal.

Im pretty sure its an ECU problem, cuz Ive plugged it onto my friends car and it does the same.

Any clues?

Cheers.

This is more than likely an ECU problem but the only way to see for sure is to put the s300 into a different ECU.
