Drove car to work, went to leave and ecu not turning on

I drove my car to work with no issues. When i went to run an errand, the car started and then died a few seconds later. The car turns over, the main relay is clicking but the fuel pump relay doesn't turn on and the ecu just gets hot. I tried switching the main and fuel relay but get the same issue. I plugged the usb connector in to my laptop and the green light on the kpro turns on and then it goes to a flashing red light but the ecu never connects in the software. The cars been running fine for a few weeks and no changes have been made recently.

Any thoughts?
