Lotus Dash product and non Fed elise (MY04 UK Rover elise)

I am getting close to a honda instal and understand that the normal process is to use a KPro and retain the Rover ECU to handle communications with the dash etc.

1) If I use the Lotus Dash product does this dispense with then need for the Rover ECU?
2) Will this work with my model as the help page states that both 2005-7 and 08+ clusters are supported however mine is obviously before this
3) How is the installation done?
