Hi, I tried searching but could not find an answer in these forums and I wanted to hear from the source directly rather then rely on the hearsay in the clubrsx forum. So I've been told that the z1 and ITR cams are identical, my question is do I need itr cams for this reflash to work or will I be alright with the z1 cams? Yes I know the reflash is designed for k20a2 with itr cams, but will it work for a k20a2 with z1 cams as they are supposedly identical? Secondly is the only part I need for the itr reflash the cams or do I need the intake manifold as well? Please help me I'm looking to do the reflash soon just trying to figure out if I can go with the itr reflash or if I'm stuck with the regular reflash for 02-04 rsx type S. Thanking you in advance.

P.S. If you need vehicle information it is a 2002 Rsx Type S, I have an ITR tranny and current mods are CAI and will have an exhaust and race header by time I order the reflash.

The reflash was made for an ITR engine. Your compression, cams and intake are different. I would recommend the KPro.

I'm referring to the K20A2 reflash with ITR Cams. I know kpro would be the all around best product to get for any modding but right now it sits outside my price range and current plans for the car. To my knowledge the breakdown for the cams on this car is as follows;
Cams

We have cross referenced the 05 RSX intake and exhaust camshaft part numbers with those available for Japanese ITR.

The Japanese part numbers for the ITR intake cams are:
* 14110-PRC-000
* 14110-PRC-010
* 14110-PRC-020

This is because there have been three revisions of the engine.

The US part numbers for the 05 cams are:
* 14110-PRC-030 (intake)
* 14120-PRC-030 (exhaust)

It is therefore our assumption that the cams in the 05 RSX are the Japanese ITR cams. which have the same lift but more duration than the PRB cams
(The 02-04 intake cam part number is: 14110-PRB-020 )
So with all that said and done, would the reflash still work with them or no and they have to be itr cams?

Will it work? Yes. How well will it work? Difficult to say, but the more differences there are from stock then the less optimal the tune will be.

Thank you for your answer, I will be doing no other work to the engine besides throwing in the z1 cams, other then that it will just be bolt ons. And sorry I didn't see it in either of your responses, so just to confirm all I need are the cams for this reflash, I won't need the prc im or any other parts? And I understand you cannot tell me how well it will work as it's been tested on actual itr cams, but if you had to assume or to the best of your knowledge do you think I would end up causing harm or loosing power or should it all be ok? Once again I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions a lot, I'm other people had the same question on other websites so this forum will be a good place for those people to get an answer.
