-Stock D16Z6, DSM 450cc injecors, Integra Resistor box, Omni 4 bar MAP, Garrett t3t4

Having trouble with the ECU, whenever the car has been sitting overnight I come and turn the key to the ON position and the CEL light turns on and just stays on (motor will turn, but not start). About 10 to 15 min later the CEL turns off and now the car is ready to start, and the ECU behaves normally.

Seems like the ECU has to be "warmed up" in order to work normally. The Hondata works fine (can update and datalog), and can't be anything else on the car (Main relay/wiring/ground), as I already tried a known good working ECU that worked fine on my car.

Already replaced two leaking capacitors and a corroded resistor, and then just went ahead and replaced all the capacitors on the ECU with the execption of C201 (looks good). The ECU looks good, no leaking capacitors now, no burnt resistors, no blown transistors, no fried motherboard anywhere, and the soldering looks fine although I haven't checked it out under a magnifying glass. Not sure what it could be now, your time is appreciated, any suggestions?

Have you tried the s300 in a different ECU, as it sounds like that ECU may have some issues.

No I don't have another socketed ecu laying around. I have had the s300 for 4 years now, could it be the Hondata? How long do these units typically last?

Find a freind or someone local with an s300 and try your s300 in their ECU, if it works properly then you know it is your ECU that is faulty.

yeah...its the ecu...same thing happened to me.i'd have to wait like 10-15 mins and then the fuel pump would prime and the engine light would go off, and the car would be able to start....i suggest buying another one from hamotorsports. they offer money back guarantee on their ecus, unlike some "OTHER" folks around here

Yeah, that's what exactly would happen with me. Did turn out to be a faulty ECU.
