Data dump when plugged into my laptop

When I am running my car and if I update the ECU or plug the USB in while the car is running,my computer will blue screen. Is there a way to diagnose this? Like crash logs? I am trying to run in Win xp SP3 compatibility mode now.

Ok I think I have it working.

I am running Win 7 64bit.

I set to compatibility mode: Win XP service Pack 3.

I tried to make the computer crash and it didnt crash so I think that may have fixed it.

It probably is the USB drivers. Uninstall our software, then uninstall the drivers from add/remove programs, and then re-install. The problem is that windows tends to keep copies of the drivers around, even if you uninstall, and often this does not work, but try it first.
