possible kpro purchase need help

Post by 13secsex »

A member on club rsx has a kpro that they have had some issues with suddenly that it wont datalog or load calibrations. here is his for sale post on the forum.

"this thing work perfectly for like 2yrs
until a month ago after upgrading to kmanager v3 software and downloaded my old calibration made a few changes and tried uploading it again the process stopped about midway and froze
since then ive been unable to datalog or upload any calibrations
so it pretty much useless to me
i was on the phone with hondata tech support and they say something seems to be wrong with the drives and what not but ive tried everything so they say i should send it to them so they can check it out
ive since replaced my oem ecu back on the car and given up on kpro
so if someone is more dedicated to trying to get this problem solved this product is up for grabs

its a genuine hondata product u can check out the serial number to verify with tect support but it just not worth me shipping it back to hondata here from Jamaica plus service charges and return fee

as seen in the pix the connect light ( green) comes one when connected to my laptop but i just cant datalog or upload"

So my question is if i purchase this since it would need to be converted to a 05-06 to work in my rsx anyways would that conversion possible take care of the issue or would it be worth spending the money on this and having converted or just buyin a different unit?

I would steer clear of this as this does not sound good. Most likely it is damaged and would cost you more to try to get working or replace than just going through one of our dealers and sending in an ECU you have sourced for the conversion to K-Pro.
