Ive been using the Smanager 1.4 with my laptop (no problems) . it's window 7 64 bit. my tuner tunes my car with the newest version. today I DLed the map onto my laptop, and when I go to open the file, it tells me the update the driver. After a few tries of updating the driver (it wouldn't install properly) , I closed the Smanager and tried to install the driver manually. At first, the computer said it didn't recognize the device, then a few more tries it wouldn't acknowledge that the s300 was even plugged in
after googling a bit , I found a help file to manually install the drivers through the device manager but it doesn't even show up anymore. what could've possibly happened ?
the light is still green and the car still drives normal. the USB port on the laptop still works. the only thing is nothing happens at all when I plug the s300 into the laptop

In the device manager does the screen refresh when you unplug the USB cable?

im pretty sure it didnt refresh. I even tried to scan for new hardware/device.

You must have the key in the on position when you do this.
