Hi, just one question, is there a way I can match the reading in the MAP Sensor and in my Boost gauge, the problem is that my boost gauge is reading 9 psi of boost while the Map sensor only read 5 psi..
Is there a way to correct this??
Thanks in advance
Inaccurate 4bar Map Sensor
Re: Inaccurate 4bar Map Sensor
No there is not. Is this a mechanical or electronic gauge?
Re: Inaccurate 4bar Map Sensor
its a mechanical gauge.
Re: Inaccurate 4bar Map Sensor
Where is the pressure source for the gauge?

And my elevation is 2240 meters (7350 ft) above sea level.

Re: Inaccurate 4bar Map Sensor
I can't see where you boost gauge is connected, but the difference is because of the way your boost gauge reads and your elevation.
The MAP has an absolute reference, so 5 psi is 5+14.7 = 19.7 psi absolute.
The boost gauge reads boost relative to atmospheric pressure, which is 78 kPa / 11.2 psi absolute. So at 19.7 psi absolute pressure, the boost gauge will read 19.7-11.2 = 8.5 psi relative, which is close to what you said it reads.

Re: Inaccurate 4bar Map Sensor
thnks for the explanation...
Just one more thing, so how much boost Iam actualy getting into the engine, 9.5 or 5?
Thanks ind advance.
