Using a kpro to upload a map to a k100

Post by conalmcn »

Hi I have a k100 pra ecu in my supercharged ep3. I'm removing the charger and going turbo but for the time being I will be running a n/a base map in order to get me around. I've a good mate who has a kpro pra ecu so I have access to that as often as I want. Am i right in saying that the motherboard is where the map is stored and the daughterboard is the k100/kpro which enables maps to be uploaded to it? So I could put his kpro daughterboard on my ecu and upload a base map? All help would be much appreciated.

By the way i would buy a kpro but none are up for sale and if this would work it would save the coding costs as well, Thanks.

hi conal,

long time no talk :D

if you guys have the same ecu type then definitely you can swap the k100 to kpro to upload the map on the ecu and then put back the k100. This is the way tuners do :)

i'm fighting with the k100 bought from you cause all my friends have ecu's with kpro from US (PNF, PRB) and not sure if i can use their kpro board on the ecu i got it from you.

Cheers

Hi mate, did you get the k100 and toda alrite? :)

Thats great news thanks very much. Is it just plug and play or is any soldering required?

Hmmm I know a few people looking a k100 mate so if you can't get sorted with a pra kpro that would always be an option

no soldering, i had pictures of mine and will post them on here or on ctro. just open the ecu and you will see on the right and left of the k100 board that there some black conectors in which comes the pins from the ecu. Just plug it out from both sides and reverse to put it in :) (at least that is the way mine is)

will let you know about the k100, but no money left right now. yep the package arrived ok, thanks a lot.

cheers
