What kind of EPROM for s200

Post by martini »

What is the part number/model name for the eprom chip that is used the hondata s200 installations (P28)?

I need to replace mine, a couple pins busted off. This is something I can get at the local radio shack isn't it?

Insist on the Atmel At29C256 chip. Other chips are generic and WILL cause problems. I wouldn't chance it by using a substitute chip made in Malaysia or Singapore which hasn't passed any sort of tests. The speed of the chips is also very important. Hondata sells chip set which includes all the hardware for any Hondata OBD-1 system installation and is cheap IMO. I suggest you give them a call.

Moates sells the at29c256's individually. They're like $6 + $6 shipping though.
