Customer car after several pulls will suddenly go rich (10.5:1 A/F) between 3-5k rpm on WOT pulls with no changes to fueling in the tune.
I am assuming this is related to Cat Overtemp Protection? You can see the Inj PW increase when this happens.
Let the car cool for about 45 minutes and the rich spike disappears?
Is there any way to verify this assumption?
Thanks in advance.
The A/F is being monitored with the dyno's wideband.

No, it is not cat protection compensation, which typically operates at 7000+ rpm.

Thanks! Any idea what would cause this?Hondata wrote:No, it is not cat protection compensation, which typically operates at 7000+ rpm.
Also, how do you identify CAT protection when you see it at 7000+ and what triggers it?

Start with a stock calibration and then make one change at a time until you narrow the problem down. The calibration and datalog would be useful.
