Rev Limiter stuck at 5500 RPM
Posted: Thu Aug 25, 2011 7:46 pm
Kpro board # 4507
kpro board serial # 05005122
Ecu part # 37820-PRB-A05
I have an 2003 Acura rsx type-s
Nothing have been modified to affect the ecu
Latest kmanager v1.5.1.0
Swap 06 k24a2 motor in my rsx-s
I had no problem bringing my car to the 7800 RPM limiter my tuner had set on Kpro. Car was dyno'd and ran great before. I made an minor adjustment on my low cam angles. Uploaded the change and went on a test drive and for some reason it had a 5500 RPM limiter. No codes, no indication as to why. I tried adjusting it back to 7600, then 8000 and then would upload to the ECU. It would be in the text box as the correct number, but the car still wouldn't rev past 5500 RPM. As soon as I hit the lightning bolt to start/stop datalogging, the rev limiter table would automatically revert back to 5500 RPM without my command.
Scratching my head like crazy. I have no check engine light, did a test with a obdII super scanner and ecu is working fine and reading all the sensors. I tried loading a stock calibration, same thing. Reset the ECU, same thing. Turned the laptop off and back on, same thing. I uninstall and reinstall Kmanager on my computer with the up to date release version of kmanager and erase (security) ecu and still doing the same thing.
