purchasing s2000 Kpro, how to tell if working?

Post by sunman »

hi,
I am about to purchase a second hand brand new s2000 hondata kpro from a local seller.

My question is: without installing the sensors required for the 00-05 kpro, would it still be possible to plug in the kpro ecu into my stock engine harness and connect to the kpro through kmanager? Of course, I would not be starting the car, just want to check to see if I can go 'online' and connect to the ECU. If this is possible, is there anything I can do to definitively insure the ECU works?

Also, do the brand new Kpro's come with the additional engine harness that has to be routed through the firewall?

Thanks.

YEs you can plug it in and upload and datalog, but that is all and will not relaly tell you if it is able to run the engine. You would probably be better off purchasing a brand new K-Pro for this as it sounds like is missing things and could actually be damaged.
