Why are throttle tip in retard values so extreme?

In neutral, and in the higher gears the ignition retard is anywhere from -50 to -100 degrees. Why is so much tip in retard required? Is it becuase the engine may knock when getting to part throttle? The IAT and ECT ignition compensations are not near as extreme, usually no more than a + or - 10 swing.

Without the calibration you are using and a datalog showing the problem it is impossible to guess at what you are referring to.

Spunkster, there is no problem it's just a general question. They are the default values in any of the provided map tunes in the fpro manager for throttle tip in retard under the ignition tab under calibration.

Why would you have to retard the ignition by 100 degrees in 6th gear when you tip in the throttle? Seems a little much.

Just open any of the provided base maps and you can see.

That is percent, not degrees.

Ok well what is different about neutral and 4th,5th,and 6th gears that the values are so extreme?

The higher gears with -50 or -100% are less ignition retard. This effectively disables the retard in higher gears - the retard is only there to smooth out the lower gears.
